In Response to Remarks by Ryan Walters in his Introduction of Recommendations by the Oklahoma Advisory Committee on Founding Principles
Dec 20, 2023
When the absence of a thing
becomes a thing,
white men in suits
in smoke-filled rooms
write patchwork policies
to please the deities
of each man’s private hell.
When the absence of a thing
becomes a thing,
wide avenues
of thought are then
collapsed, neutrality
is turned to enmity,
and mathematics fails.
When the absence of a thing
becomes a thing,
the tenets of
your foes are seen
as truth, and colorblind
law-making as a kind
of bias, and corrupt.
